Post by: scotty71 on January 06, 2015, 08:42:41 PM
Just some teaser photos of the "NEW" tracks that are undergoing testing in the Netherlands. Not yet available but look good.

Well now we know why Gary was so negative in Mike Keller's attempts to get tracks manufactured here in the States…he had his own deal going down across the pond.  I really am disappointed in this turn of events…it's very underhanded.  I really wish that Harold hadn't hooked his cart to Gary's horse..but it is what it is.  Of course, the tracks still have to be tested…

Sit back and enjoy the fireworks that are about to be released on the G503 forum!

I hope that things are still pursued for a stateside manufacturer.  That sure seemed like a big F U to the people trying to further the cause. On one hand, Yay! Tracks! On the other Meh. We have to get them from a jerk.

I just made a deal for a halftrack that should be delivered this week or next. It has original 1944 tracks that are still serviceable but cracked badly. I almost passed on the deal with worries about not being able to get new tracks. I really don't care about the back and forth and really am just glad they are available. I am all for buying American but price will be a factor.

Im glad to see that there are new tracks being made, But it boggles the mind that it is being made in the Netherlands. Seams like shipping and tax would make it to costly. Any one hear a price yet?

Distribution from the Netherlands, then middle man distribution PLUS shipping, I guarantee with only one manufacturer the price is going to be very HIGH.   I sincerly hope Michael Keller's much appreciated long term efforts pay off.  American track producer would be great, and most of all create competition.  I have two half tracks and will be looking at big money layout if their is a monopoly on track sales.  Ugly word (monopoly) !!!

I love that game! Hate it in real life. the new tracks look like they are just longer versions of those manufactured for Skid steers. I'm sure that it would have been cheaper to have gotten a company here to make them but since I didn't come up with the financial backing I cant say where they are made or for how much. Guess I'm probably going to be bending over the barrel at some point my self. I wanted a half track to drive it, Not too look pretty in the driveway...

I will NOT EVER buy new tracks from Gary.

I do believe that StarPoint will come through on american tracks. If not we will keep looking.

I too need new tracks for my Autocar.  I'm in no hurry.  I don't even read all the posts about track because its just too much DRAMA.. I enjoy my military vehicle obsession, but when it comes to a halftrack, OMG, so much DRAMA... I'm glad the DUKW, CCKW, and jeep guys are not like that, otherwise I would sell my collection and get into something else.  I too will not buy tracks from Gary, but would like to find a good set.  I wish I could find a set of 1990's tracks someone wants to get rid of for a fair price.... Maybe after a year or so goes by, the drama will die down, and there will be a couple choices on where to buy new tracks.  I have the money now for tracks, and hope I will when somone has them available for a fair price, with no hassle...

Starpoint is working new tracks, but they also have new Israeli made tracks.  They only have a few sets, but from what I was told is that they were made in 2013.
