here is my idea. using a boat fuel tank under the covers. then i would take one of my old fuel tanks and cut the ends off. take one of those ends and stick it to the boat tank so that you could never tell once its under the cover that there was a boat tank under there. i have also heard there is a boat tank that fits even better than the below links but i haven't found it yet.

here is another method people are using.
cut the end off the old halftrack fuel tank and slide this tank inside.
this tank was a common aftermarket auxiliary tank used in 1960s chevy trucks.
this is an old school way of doing it. there is probably a better tank to use now with these plastic boat tanks on the market.
