Title: M3 track armor VS m16 track armor?

Is the track armor for the m3 the same bolt patterns for the m16 track armor. I know the m16 quad box has the holes for the 2 pieces of track armor but would the m3 track armor line up?

Only difference I know if is that the  M16 track armor does not have the holes for the seat cover hinges.

Yes, when they did most of the conversions from M3 to M16A1 they just used stainless rod and welded up the extra holes on the M3 track armor.
