I came across this wrench on craigslist one day. It was listed as a large military wrench. I though it might work perfect as a track adjusting wrench if that was not already its original purpose.

The wrench is just under 2' in overall length.

It is offset approximately 6" and has a 2-1/4" opening.

It fits perfectly over the track adjusting nut, clears the tensioning spring and clears the front of the idler wheel so you can adjust the track without climbing under the halftrack.

It has the following number stamped on it 8389954 and was painted OD in color. Not sure if it was originally made as a track adjusting wrench but it sure seems to be a perfect fit.

Wow, Nice find Tom. I think I've seen a wrench like that in the manuals.

Tom,
That wrench is a nice find. Whether it belongs or not it would be a good addition to the halftrack tool kit.

I have a wrench just like it that came with my M-3. It does work great.
