Title: starts after sitting 3 years

I started her after 3 years of sitting. She sounded great for a few minutes then developed a knocking. What do you guys think?

Not an engine guy but maybe a sticky valve.

It sounds like a lifter. One of mine had a cracked body from the plunger being stuck. The covers are easy to pull to do an inspection.
