Title: Lower radiator brace question...which way is the 'u'?

Good evening, Gents!
Got a question:  I am replacing the twisted and broken lower radiator mounting brace, and it appears that it is u-shaped, with a round hole and a slot hole for the radiator.
Can someone tell me either: 
a) which way the 'u' should be (bottom of the 'u' toward the front or rear of the vehicle, OR
b) which side does the slotted hole go (drivers side or passenger side)?

I want to put this brace in right the first time.  :-)

The curve (the bottom of the u) is toward the front and the slot is on the driver side.
I can post pictures if you need them.
