Title: I assume these are supposed to be one piece?

Hey guys, we have two areas that have broken (I assume) and need to be repaired, but as always I want to ask the professionals first.  One is pretty obvious, but the other one isn't.

First, I assume that this needs to be welded back together.  It's already been welded and broke twice before, hopefully third time's the charm.

Secondly, I think this is supposed to be one piece. But, the break is a perfect line and perfectly clean.  It looks just like it was cut it in a press brake so I'm wanting confirmation.

Yes on mine both were one piece and both were broken. The second one broke in a straight line because the metal is stressed from the forming bend so it cracked along the weakest point. I think this is a very high stress area because the armor body is rigid and the frame wants to flex.
