Post by: JamieM5halftrack on December 06, 2020, 01:17:01 PM
Hi guys, thanks for adding me. I have an M5 IHC halftrack I am coming near the end of restoring. I need help with dimensions of the bolt patter that fixes the rear armour to the bed. Any help will be greatly appreciate.

Jamie, is the second from bottom photo the one that burnt out? I was following your thread on the HMVF years back.

I’ve just bought my second M16 for parts and got a M45 with it. Where in the UK are you?

Hi,

The second from bottom was found in a scrap yard in Wales. It’s was stripped down and used for carrying telegraph poles up the Welsh mountains before it had a dash fire and was scrapped. Someone seen it in the scrap yard and rescued it and it sat on a farm for years before I bought it.

I am in Bristol.

Welcome Jamie, great looking project and we love pics, thanks for posting.  As mentioned lots of info and help available on the site.  Made the War and Peace show last year at Beltring, was hoping to get back this year, but like so much other stuff it was canceled.  Maybe in 21!

I don't suppose the rear frame was any good? My M3 rear frame from the rear drive axle back is rotten and I don't really want to scrap the poor thing. The big bogie cross menber actually has rot holes in it!
