Title: Trailer socket
Post by: brit plumber on March 02, 2021, 05:36:52 AM
I’m just working on some of the smaller repairs required on the M16 and next up is the trailer socket.

The fitted example is a Delco Remy which has had some damage to the cover and the spring is week/fractured. I’ve got a Warner as a parts supply but I wonder if the lift tab on my Delco should be more like the Warner? I can find loads of photos of the Warner socket but not one Delco Remy for comparison.

Or am I barking up the wrong tree and it should in fact be a Warner socket after all?

Warner recepticle on my half-track:

That’s interesting, the Delco cover tab protrudes like the Warner, I was going to straighten mine until member MFrance sent me a photo of his M16 with Delco socket and it’s flat like mine.

Something else that’s interesting, it looks like the bolts in your Delco have the same head markings as mine suggesting they may have come with the socket, ready for fitting.
