What are you guys using for a radiator cap. The fuel cap type I have even with a rubber gasket leaks like crazy. Thanks

Is the system over pressurising? Can you get a NOS radiator cap?

Do you have a surge tank? Are you sure you're using a fuel cap type of lid on your radiator? The cap on the radiator should not be vented, as it should push any overflow coolant into the surge tank. The surge tank will have a vented cap. If you are using a fuel cap on the radiator then it is probably vented. When any significant pressure builds up in the radiator as the coolant warms up, the vent on the fuel cap you are using could be causing the leak.

I am using a surge tank, the cap is a slant fuel cap just wondering if anyone has a part number for a radiator cap that fits.

Got one like that off of Gary and it rusted out in less then a year. Tried the slant fuel tank one and that won’t seal either. Seen pics of one that looks like the cap on the surge tank but bigger. But can’t find it.

The Slant fuel cap is vented and is more than likely your problem. Ask me how I know. ;D I have heard of people sealing the vents in the cap successfully, but I’ve never tried it.
