Title: Engine Installation Order
Post by: dwhite on October 19, 2025, 07:39:09 AM
I thought I'd check with y'all to get your thoughts on the best order to install the engine/trans/TC and radiator.  Here's what I have:  rolling chassis without cab or armor.  The radiator is ready to go in.  The engine/trans is ready to go in.  After looking through the posts it seems like it might be better to install the radiator first and then the engine.  I also have the radiator armor ready to go, but that seems like it should go last.  What do you think?  Dale

I would think it'd be easier to install the engine/trans first. Wide-open space to make the installation plus no chance of damaging the radiator while installing them. Good luck with however you do it and let us know how it goes!

Engine and transmission first. I  installed my radiator myself with out a lift or chain but didn’t have the winch installed. Radiator is a tenth of what the power pack weighs and more room for moving around.
