Thanks Hammerhead.
We make fuel tanks. Cost is $510.00 each as pictured below, plus shipping (or you can pick them up in person). Unfortunately I only have a pic from the back of the last tank we made. Our draw tubes extend on the inside of the tank to the center of the tank from the external fitting so you won't have problems when going up or down grades. These are made of 1/16" steel unlike the originals that are of a much lighter gauge material, but as they are of heavier metal we don't have to have the internal stiffeners like the originals so are easier to clean the inside if you get junk in them. Plus they shouldn't rust out in your lifetime! They also have drains in the correct location like the originals. When we make these we weld the tank up with the draw and drain fittings in. Then leak test the tank to 15 psi pressure. After that we put in the fill collar and gauge fitting so you shouldn't have any leak problems.

They look great Outsider! Are going to the MVPA convention?
-
No, I won't be able to make the convention this year. We will be doing a museum display again this year at the Military show in Benton Harbor, MI that weekend.
My brother hasn't been keeping this current, but here is what we do on the side:

Outsider,
Nice tanks! Do the original gas caps fit along with the strainer? Are you covering them in rubber? I might be interesten in a set this spring for my M2.
Thanks,
Steve A.

Yes, the original caps and strainers fit just like they originally did.
I've been letting the buyers do what they want for a rubber covering. When I did mine I covered them with roofing ice barrier. It comes in 3' wide rolls, is between 1/16 and 1/8" thick, and once applied looks a lot like the original covering. But I have also seen people cover them with bed liner, and others with 1/4" thick rubber. I guess it's all what you like.
