Title: Halftrack stable
Post by: col.halftrack on April 09, 2012, 01:44:05 PM
Thought I would post a photo set and try to update it as slow progress is made.

Wow...looks like you have a good bit of work there.  And I think I'm just a little envious!  ;D

Thanks for the comments. Its been a dream of mine since I was about twelve to have a stable of armored horses. I have really enjoyed several restoration threads posted here and elsewhere.Thought I would post a line up and add shots as they progress. My tracks will probably fall short of the amazing quality exhibited on some of these threads but I am wanting to get my tracks in the dirt. So a few dings and scratches will be in evidence.

Holy smokes! I have up to now only heard rumors of this group of halftracks lost in a jungle. Now photographic proof!
 Excellent :)

Some of you do way better at posting photos. And some of you make more progress in a month than I seem to in a year. I am inspired by your progress. I hope to have My M4A1 and M16 at Topeka this year.

M16 gets weapons mount M45. Local wrecker company brought their M900 series 5-ton to do the lift.

Column ready for departure.
Destination Great Bend Army Airfield
My hometown's WW2 era base hosted a airfest. We attended with a ground forces display.
