Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this situation? While removing my old temperature gauge sensor, the tip broke off and is stuck in nut that is in the engine block. I have tried to remove that nut with no luck. The nut, or bolt, I am referring to is the one that is on top of the head which the temperature gauge screws into. Currently I have a generic temperature guage connected to the engine block drain.

the plug you are referring to is very stout. you can really crank on it without worrying about it sheering.
however if something does break let me know, i think i have replacement parts.

Hi,
When I received my H/T a temp gauge was not attached to the engine and the hole in the head were it would have gone was just plugged. What should I be looking for to reattach the sensor to the head. There is currently a threaded hole in the head that is about 1 inch in diameter. I looked in the parts book, but could not find anything easily. I'll try the other manuals...
Thanks,
Mark

Mark – the ORD 9 manual lists it as an “Adapter, Engine Water Temperature Indicator”. The part no. is A215070. It has a male tapered pipe thread, 1” I think, for the head and the other end is machined with a seat for the temperature bulb and is threaded for the gland nut on the gauge lead that secures and seals the bulb. I hope this helps.
