OK Tom, here it is!
Don and I left Wednesday AM for Camp White with my halftrack and got it unloaded and lined up with Lloyd's two halftracks, an M2 and M2A1. For those of you who don't know Lloyd he has an incredible Jeep collection along with other military vehicles. I've been to his place three times before but never with all his vehicles out. Lloyd defiantly has one impressive collection. All three halftracks were lined up out front as you enter his driveway. Very impressive sight. The BBQ was fantastic and was a perfect place for a meet and great.

After the dinner Don and I loaded up my track to take back to the convention hall. We planned and organized the hole getting back into the building after Camp White for months and even talked to someone that morning but as luck would have it, it took several hours to get someone to come out and open the building. It was 12:30 before we got back to the host hotel that night. Here is my halftrack at the convention.

There was one other track at the convention and that was a M16.

My first convention was back in 2008 when I was a nobody. I had no idea how big this hobby was and what and how to look for parts. Now I have people coming to me for advice and thanking me for the bolts I have made and so on. It was great to see familiar faces from the last convention in Huntsville and Tower Park. Also, putting names to faces for those I sold bolts to. In all I had a great time. Kevin Lockwood did a great job with his halftrack seminar although his power point presentation was sidelined due to no power point software. He revamped the one he gave last year. The big question that came up was track supply and the sky rocketing prices of the remaining tracks. The availability of parts also came up and those who have stepped up and started reproducing parts besides the current suppliers.
As for halftrack goods at the convention their wasn't much. I had some stuff on my table along with some big stuff in a trailer out side. Rod Shaver had some small stuff. Their was a guy across from me that had land mines, windshield prop rods and a radio stand which I got. Don and I scored on a NOS top in the bag with all the straps and side windows. We got that not knowing who's track it would fit. Don won out in the end. Another guy had seat backs which Don got, water pump, misc. engine parts. As for your radio stuff Tom I found nothing but did find out that one of Rod's friend buys that stuff up before anyone else can. I've seen him do that this last spring meet at Tower Park. Another halftrack guy in California had a set on M2A1 luggage racks on my table for sale. He did a fantastic job on them and only wanted $600 for the set. I think that is a steel for what is in them. Well, that's all I have to report for now. It was great meeting everyone their. Hope to see more of you at Tower Park next spring as the showcase is ARMOR with emphasis on HALFTRACKS!!

Awesome Steve...glad everything worked out and you scored some good stuff! It's amazing that you got your track back together as fast as you did after having it practically torn down to the frame.
Working on getting mine done and up to Tower Park in the spring...we'll see.

Thanks for the update Steve, your halftrack looks good. It's nice to see a line up of halftracks.
