My glove box is locked, the lock seems free. Does anybody know if there was a lot of keys or a few different ones?

Don't know about the keys, but if you can get the bolts on the hinges to come loose I think you will be able to get the door open with out damaging the zink lock catch.

Greg,
If that doesn't work I can loan you a key when you come and get your hood. Also I found another section of hood so you will just be missing the right side vertical section.  :)

OK  I got a key on loan from Clint, it went in and feels like the lock has working tumblers but would not turn. I did not want to put too much pressure on it, I didn't think Clint wanted his key back in Two pieces. The number on this key is C-257 it is a Briggs and Stratton. Does anybody have any other numbers? It might be good to know how many combinations there are, thanks.            Greg

Hi Greg,
The other one I have is C355 and it works. I think i took C257 off a scout car. I know it works and I thought the locks were the same so maybe yours was replaced at some point. We can try this other one next. This other one (C355) was in a restored dash that I bought so I'm not sure it is correct but it looks identical.
