I ordered a set of straps from Wee Bee Webbing for the four 30 cal. ammo boxes that are stowed across the back of the M2. When I received them, there were only enough straps for three boxes. It was then that I noticed that when I finished the rear armor on my M2A1 and replaced the stiffener angle for the gun pintle on the rear, it would run right through one of the boxes! I had put the angle back where it was originally installed when it was converted to M2A1 configuration. I looked at several pictures of other vehicles but many of them don’t even have the angle, and the two that did both had it mounted to the opposite side of the pintle bracket, allowing the fourth box to fit. I was preparing to remove it and mount it to the other side but then I wondered why Wee Bee sent a set for only three boxes? Dave responded that they’ve only ever made straps for sets of three. Huh? I don’t want to move this if it’s a common configuration - I can certainly live with only three boxes. Has anyone else seen or heard of this? I appreciate any info on it. Thanks.

Here's the angle on my half track in its original location, torched off:

Here's mine welded back in its original position, hogging up the space for one of the cans:

Here's an M2A1 with it welded to the opposite side of the mount bracket, leaving room for the fourth ammo can:
