Thanks Steve for all the detail. I think I've got most of what I need to build my own, but does anyone have an answer for the question Torque asked? My track is also an M2, that I one day will have a skate rail in.

The pins are part of, welded to, the batents with small bent loops that the bow extensions go through mounted on the upper armor. I'm searching for some original photos and found some I will post later this week. The loops I mentioned can be purchases from Al Steifel. I don't have any to make measurements but can com up with something for you. If Tim Sutter or Mike France is reading this maybe they can take some photos of Tim's M2 and post them here.

Duh, I'm an idiot!.... Thanks for short circuiting the right part of my brain by saying "Tim Sutter".
I guess I should look more closely at the resources I already have. Here is one of the many reference pictures I took of Tim's HT between rain storms at Tower park. You can clearly see exactly what I'm asking about.

Bought a set of lowers this week from him. He has both upper and lowers-the uppers have a hole and the lowers have a pin.
He only has the welded type now-no castings. $25 for set of all six lowers, who could pass on that! Will see how close to original they are when they arrive.

Well, here they are...... :-\ Guess with a lot of grinding, they might look like something, I think. At least they were cheap. Beware!

Here are my six-pack after lots of modifications. Now I can install the great set of top bows I bought from outsider at the convention!
Thanks to Steve also for the measurements.
