Currently in discussions with a company called Big Tyre in Toowoomba Queensland Australia, about the cost of having a mold manufactured to re-rubber halftrack bogie wheels. Still waiting on the details of costs in a return email, So will let you know how it goes.

Has anyone determined whether the tires were molded onto the rim or were they molded and pressed on like a forklift?

The bogie tires were molded onto the rims.
Got a price from the company and price is way too high. Rubber mold $2500-3000.
So asked about polyurethane, mold cost $100+. Cost per wheels $345, which for a full set of 16 wheels is @ $5192.
Will have to look for other options I think.

You would be much better off getting them here in the States and shipping them to you.

If anyone in is interested, it looks like I will be doing another run of bogies early next year.

I would be interested in about a month or so. What would the price be if I replaced all 16 of them?

It all depends on how many we get done. With shipping both ways, less than NOS ones.

I could not wait and got some NOS wheels but now I have 4 wheels I can send off to be remade. Is this still moving forward? Any price yet. I would be in for at least the 4 I done now.
Thanks

I'm toying with the idea of redoing all 16 that I took off my old track. Any movement on this?

I think this is "in process". I have 20 already in St Louis getting done.

You would have to ask Rich about that.
