I saw an add for skate rails which are now available coming from the Netherlands. It's a big deal! Now people don't have to convert there original M2 tracks to M2A1s!!! Cost is €4500 link is below.  ;D

M2 skate rails are scarce. I've not seen one since I've had not track which is granted just about a year. From what I understand, alot of them got scrapped once the rear armor was taken off.  Glad at least and option is available. It is alot but looks like good stuff.

I agree, it is a lot but its probably cheaper then me spending months  scraping steel in the hopes of making a passable replica! Hopfully they will be available still when im ready for one.

Almost makes me want to go find an original M2 and do another frame off restoration....almost.  No wait, uh uh....no, not even close.  I'll leave the insanity of doing multiple HT restorations to COL Halftrack and Don.  I'm pretty sure (as is my wife) that one was enough for me.

However, the skate rail is pretty awesome......

That is nice work and a lot of it. They reproduced the early style which is much more labor intensive to weld up.
