breaks, master cylinder
« on: April 28, 2017, 03:23:38 PM »
Got my HT running today after sitting 3 years. Stared right up but there is a little knocking. Hopefully that will clear up after it is run for  a while. The problem I have is the brake pedal goes all the way down. No brakes.  I cant even seem the fine the master cylinder. I guessing I am going to have go under her to find it?  Please direct me to a least the vicinity of the master cylinder. Thanks, Rob

The master cylinder and hydro vac are located under the drivers foot well.

Also, if there is a knocking sound, I would be pretty concerned about it.  That could mean you are not getting oil to the crank.  Check your oil pressure and oil level to see.  Once you get a knock, it's usually time to pull the engine and do a rebuild unfortunately. The longer you wait, the more the crank will have to get ground, just a suggestion :)

Check all the wheels for leaks too you might have one or more bad wheel cylinders also ave the break lines been replace or are they original. Give me a call and we check some of the stuff out together.

Hi All, So the knocking stopped. and no more smoke. So on to the next problem. I have to adjust the clutch. It looks pretty straight forward in the manual. Any tips?
