Can anybody identify this part number
« on: November 04, 2018, 01:21:11 PM »
Hi All
Just wondered if anybody could identify some springs i have just found amongst a load of my International parts.
The box is from some ex Danish/ Swedish stock and marked up G102-02-05980, it contains 20 coil springs 3" long and 7/16" dia, there definitely not for the International halftracks (G147) because i would have recognised them otherwise, i cannot find a cross reference in my International spare parts manual so wondered if anybody had a White parts book with that number listed.
Hopefully someone can id these springs, also found some other NOS items unboxed without parts numbers, and there not international parts either.

It’s for the transfer case.

Hi Smadge
Thanks very much for taking the time to idenify these springs, i have rebuilt a couple of international halftrack transmissions over the last few years and these springs are definitely not fitted or listed in the G147 gearbox manuals.
Seems strange that the White Transfer Box has them and not the international boxes.
Have found other parts that are supposedly for Whites but most dont have any part numbers so will be difficult to identify.
My vehicle is the International M9A1 so i dont have any need for parts that do not cross reference to international part numbers.
Thanks very much for helping me with this question.
Cheers Ian

Ian,

I’m rebuilding my trans this winter and I might need one of those. I know who to contact if I do.

Take care,

Paul

The transmission and transfer case housings for both White and International are the same from what I have been told. The only difference is some of the gearing is different inside.

I sell new made gasket sets for the transmission/transfer case if needed. ;D
