Just a question out of curiosity was at the museum of American armor and my friend and I where looking at one of the halftrack. The side armor had several long cracks in it and a couple of smaller ones. He was told by someone that it was a sign of repro armor because the mild steel is more prone to crack and I argued the opposite thane the face harden armor was more prone to crack because of it being more rigid than mild steel. I’ve had a couple of small cracks I’ve had to weld up. What is the general consensus with you guys. Just a side thought.
