It seems from reading all these different vapor lock issues from other sites, it may be worth it to try a quart or 2 of diesel  fuel in you gas tanks...Good luck, Rob

The phenolic block between the carb and manifold cured my vapor lock on my Scout car. It was missing. I think 2 would be a cheap  and good test. The bolts on my scout car came right off.
