M2A1 canvas top
« on: October 05, 2019, 03:53:36 PM »
Hi guys –

I’ve emailed Jim Clark at Allied Forces Canvas several times regarding a top for my M2A1 and have gotten no response. Can anyone recommend another source for tops and seat covers? Thanks in advance.

Beachwood wants $5600 for an m2 canvas. That is ridiculous.  Anyone know of better pricing from other sources?

They quoted you an actual M2 top? They told me that for an M2A1 there is so much variance vehicle to vehicle that they’d only send the material and I’d have to have it custom fitted and sewn here. They could provide the seat covers and backs though.
Jim Clark/Allied Forces Canvas was going to send a sketch last week for me to provide locations of antennas and footman loops for a top from him, but now he’s disappeared again! I know he’s pretty busy. He said he has about a twelve-week backlog. I’d like to just get the order in!
If you find another source, I’d like to know too. Good luck!

If I can find a pattern or someone with an original m2 canvas, Ill just order the canvas I need. $9.95 a yard for a 72" width.

Jon,
Try this company...they’re out of Czechoslovakia and advertise an M3A1 for 26,500 CZK, or roughly $1000.  They make a wide variety of canvas products and might also make tops for other halftrack models.
