How often do you swear in the shop?
« on: November 27, 2019, 06:49:03 PM »
Ok so this is an amusing question but I don't think I have ever been in the shop without swearing once. Between my knuckles getting hit with a hammer, the welder burning thorough my clothes or slipping with a wrench and your hand wacks you in the forehead. Who he actually maintains a cool head when working on your track?

I'm out. I've lost count of the number of fingernails lost and the square feet of scalp hanging on every protrusion. Shoot, I use words I never even heard of!

Hehe....
The half track has definitely led to more pain and many more "colorful metaphors"
than restoring my M38A1 Jeep.
Glad my shop isn't near any neighbors!!!!

If I had a swear jar in the shop it would have mostly paid for the halftrack ;D.

I think I have used every swear word in my repatar and then some! Considering I was in the service I have quite a vocabulary! I have slowed down on the tool throwing though!

Just so happens I busted my nose when a pry bar slipped and took a piece of meat off with a handyman jack this week. Drew blood both times, might have been some choice words spoken

Whenever my brother and I are working on Lucky 13, we always count out aloud each time one of us gets hurt.  The one that got hurt is cussing and throwing things and the other will just holler out ONE!  And that continues throughout the work session increasing the count with each injury.  The count restarts the next time we are out there.  I think the highest it's ever gotten is seven or eight.

I limp and gripe while walking down stairs because I lifted the cast valute spring mount during assembly. That was 2016

Part of my documentation of my build has been to take a picture of every wound I get while completing this thing!  I had quite a few but then drove over my phone with my tractor while working on the halftrack!  Good thing I work alone for the most part, I hope the neighbors can't hear me.  I Guess I have plenty left to do so I'm sure I can start over with the injury pictures.

More halftracks than some.
Less halftracks than others.

There's a reason this is in the corner above the sink in Shon's shop.  That's where a lot of our swearing comes from.
