Corey... it's always sumthin, of course the obvious stuff ... is well obvious!! The other stuff just takes time, advise and money!  ;)

Another thing to check into is a poor spark. A week battery (constantly being jump started), poor points gap, week condenser / coil, can all allow it to run, but poorly. Iv experienced all these things and was amazed how these engines can keep running, although poorly, when something is set wrong. I’d also clean all the contacts in your voltage regulator box.

C   electrical stuff is good as mentioned in earlier post ..but I have decided to replace my old coil (internal resistor).
On a high note got my Carb back today from Daytona Motor.. Tim their resident guru on all things Stomberg did an increadible rebuild!!!  Threw it on the track when I got home tonight from day one on my new job (Went back to work too subsidize my Nonprofit) and it blew me away on how nice my track ran, not only that but my idle screws actually WORKED!!!

Here are some pics as I unpacked it from the box.  As mentioned I sent an spare bowl to replace my damaged one ..carb looks and runs flawlessly:
