Late model storage racks wanted
« on: March 25, 2011, 09:52:15 AM »
Looking to purchase a pair or one to copy.

Used on later m3A2's and M5/M9A1's.

Everyone thinks they are ladders..... they look like this.

They aren't ladders??  :o Do they fold down? I've never seen a picture of them deployed. Learn something new everyday.

Thanks Don G.

Nope, fastened at 6 points.

They provided more attachment points beyond the footman's for all the crap the GI's carried on a HT.

So far I've only run across one halftrack with originals still attached. If you end up making a set I'd be interested.

I wonder how many WERE turned into ladders after being unbolted from surplus halftracks?  ;D

I check every corn crib and granary ladder I see........

That's good to know, as there are those who say they were never put into production.

I say otherwise. Limited for sure. Id say better chances of them being on an IH than a White type.

Do you remember what model they were on?
