Putting it to work
« on: March 18, 2021, 08:15:33 PM »
I read in one of the manuals that there were 3 different stiffnesses of rear springs, 3 wrap, 4 wrap, and 5 wrap, 5 wrap being 5000 pounds each as I recall. Mine has the 5 wraps as it was a 1943 M15A1. Three scoops of wet sand was nothing. If the sand would have stayed put, I think I could have doubled the load. I got to really test the brakes too. I unloaded the sand by slamming on the brakes in reverse, away it went.
