armor drawings for the doors
« on: October 22, 2010, 12:06:57 AM »
it is reported these drawings may have mistakes i will delete this warning when dimensions have been verified
i have not verified these dimensions myself, if you would like to add comments we would appreciate it. these drawings are the basic blanks. you will have to counter sink some of the holes  if you have an m2 you will need footman loop holes.
doors.... upper

the best way to make these is to locate a local laser or water jet cutting shop in your area (they are very common). check out some of there cut pieces to make sure you will be happy with the the finished product. they will have to write a program for the pieces and then just push a button. this is fairly inexpensive if you do all your pieces at once, and you will save alot on shipping.

Why are there 4 holes for the latch- but only 3 items fit? (2 bolts and 1 handle). Whats the extra bolt hole for?

Does anyone have a new source for door armor drawings (upper/lower) ? The Tinypic.com site died 9/16/2019. Can you believe it. I missed getting upper door drawings by one day!

Can anyone confirm if the lower door dimensions are correct. Unfortunately Paul was out of lower doors so I’ll have to have some made temporarily out of 6mm steel and then hopefully buy some from Paul next time I’m over in the States.

Has anyone verified these dimensions yet? I’ve got Paul’s repro parts to fit to doors I’m having made from these drawings, but the latch dimensions appear to be out by up-to a 1/4” in places.

The dimensions shown on the lower door pdf by bright87 all match my original door.
