Fan shroud black, I would think the trans and transfer would be grey as they got put in as a unit with the engine.

I am going through my engine right not and so far almost everything is od green or gray or black.  That OD green is on top of the gray, I have not found any red paint.  My transfer case appears to be a green gray also.

My engine appears to be od over gray with the "WHITE" highlighted in white. It is a B&M rebuild, march 17, 1945. The trans and transfercase assembly is rust ;D. My fan shroud appears to be od.

I'm  reasonably sure mine went through a rebuild in 1955 so my engine was OD, transmission and transfer unable to see any color other then grease. Anyway I will be going back to gray.

From all the period pictures I finally decided that if you have the early oil filter it was red, the later, military senior housing all seem to be OD, I like the red because it helps break up all that OD.
