you have alot of the important stuff there. most of us here get stuck with badly beaten and farm used halftracks that are missing all the rear armor.

thanks for posting.

the shield is not home, and the left side has been an impact

while the shield is a remake of the standard white M2

Nice project you have! It has a lot of original armor that we in the states just don't find any more. One thing I notice is that it hls whats left of full length mine racks and I think a rear door. I also see a gun pedestal near the front sticking up. Are you sure it is a M2? It looks like a M3 halftrack.

Yeah, it looks like an M3.  Are those rifle racks standing up there also?

I have to agree with others, it cant be an m2 unless side armor has been replaced as i have never seen any m2 without ammo-equipt locker side doors unless im missing the door lines

I stand corrected.  From the angle of the first pictures we could not see the rear of the track.  It does look like an M3 from the front.

Hi Dinadin

no problems, it is true that the photos could suggest a M3   ;)

The M4 bumpers top treadplate is not as long as the bumperette. On a M2 the top treadplate has accommodations for the 30 cal tripod brackets and is the same length as the bumperette. The M4 top treadplate was shorter to allow for the stowage of the mortar baseplate and on early models the 50 cal tripod mounted between the bumpers as well.
