actually it's not common to find this assembly beginning of production.
Often replaced during the life

Today,
the M2 standing on the carriage returned nice and dry in the Garage after 40 years spent in outdoor.
Many work on the frame; rust, rust, and rust No Stress, No panic

The good....you have a halftrack project!
The bad....it's time consuming and a burden on your wallet.
The ugly....sometimes it's worse than you think!
My frame was compromised from rust as well. Had to get a donor frame to ensure the rest of the project had a sound foundation. Check it closely and if you don't think it's sound, reinforce it or replace it. Think of the weight of these things.

The frame is looking great. The rust doesn't look bad at all. I like your frame dolly. Keep up the good work.

WOW!
That's one stripped down frame. That's the farthest I've seen one taken down to. You will need to cross measure certain points on your frame when putting it back together to make sure everything is square. We did this to Don's frame when splicing it back together.
