I just got a call tonight from a guy that now owns this track. He's asking about parts and tracks. He thought it was neat so he bought it not knowing anything about halftracks. He was unaware of how scarce the international halftracks were. He is also looking for tracks. I spent some time explaining stuff to him. He needs a complete hood assembly. Does anyone know if the hood pieces from a White fit an international? I stumbled across some photos of a international halftrack with a complete nose (hood, side, radiator armor and fenders) from a White. Also, is their any international part sources around or is
Lliberty Engineering the best source now.

that one is not worth restoring. i went and saw it.
the frame is like a banana with a bunch of plating on it.
there are very few good parts on it.

the engine is a common red diamond 450
the front diff is the same used in an m5 international truck
the trans looks the same as used in the white halftracks

That's funny. He called me again wanting to buy my front hood/nose armor to put on his halftrack and make it work. I've seen a photo of this being done so I guess it is possible. The funny thing is he was more concerned about finding a track so he could use the crane to move some stuff around on his property. :o Not sell it. Who knows. Steve, I passed on your contact info to him. You might be able to help him and/or sell some parts.  ;D

Hi gang, I have an International - I live in Australia - if you think they are rare in the states, you should try Australia.... As far as I know all front armour is the same as White/Diamond T/Autocar. Tried the craiglist thingo but page wasn't there - removed????  More at www.tankedandhalftracked.com

Not exactly true, same basic shapes but different thickness.

IH armor was 5/16", White and the rest were 1/4". Not sure about the wind shield armor. I know International used all their own components except the track and boogie system were the same.

Yes, apart from thickness - I think they are the same. Any ideas on why a White Scout car front armour is 20mm narrower than a Half track??? Measured a Scout Car once so I could remake my louvers only to find the half track is 20mm wider....Why would they do that??? Personally, prefer rounded corners on IH rather than squared off ones on others

The halftrack motor is a little larger than the Hercules in the scout car so the engine compartment of the halftrack is dimensionally different. The hood sections, radiator louvers and even the front fenders are slightly longer or as you note about 20MM.

All International armor is different, look at the armor above the radiator.....White has 4 bolts, International 5 and scout car 6.
