Wiring from Ammeter to Fuse block
« on: April 07, 2013, 09:16:38 PM »
I am finally getting around to doing the wiring for my halftrack and I can not find the wire which goes from the Ammeter to the fuse block.  Does anyone know what the length and gauge of the wire should be?  Can I use the wire for the heater?

Also my fuse block is different from the schematic.  Has anyone else noticed that?

Rich, you did not specify if you have an early glass fuse block or later style. The early once use a
heavy duty ga wire as you can see in this photo. That is a NOS fuse block for the early Halftracks.
The glass fuse for that wire is 50 Amps so I doubt the heater wire can be used.

Yes, I am using the other style fuses than the one you have pictured.  That picture makes a lot more sense with the wiring diagram that Vintage Wiring supplied.  It sure has made things interesting.
