HT playing in the mud
« on: May 04, 2013, 06:24:43 PM »
About 2 1/2 weeks ago it had been raining for the better part of a week when sitting at my computer I could hear a motor revving up. Well I got out the binoculars and had a good show from the neighbors. Neighbors friend whet out after the rain and decided to screw around in the back 40. Well he got stuck! :o So my neighbor proceeds to take his 3/4 ton Ford out to pull him out ::)  Well I bet you can guess where this is going. ;D He got stuck too. So then they called the neighbors dad and he came out with his 1/2 Dodge and proceeded to get that stuck too. I was about rolling on the floor!!! Well I decided that wasn't very nice to laugh at others miss fortune so my daughter and I decided to go help them out, and here are the pictures.

Sorry for the poor picture quality. That's cell phones for ya.

It was fun, but now I have to clean the HT again.

They were happy we showed up as their next option was a tow truck.

Before I went back there I engaged the front end and put it in low range, and just kind of took my time moving around. I tried not to travel over the same area more than once. As once you broke through the sod it got snotty in a hurry. There was one place where I went down about 6" and got a little nervous, but I just let it motor along at it's own pace and it came right out.

PS Steve, You are a little far away to come over and pull you out of the mud. ;D
