oil pan armor help
« on: June 28, 2013, 04:41:58 PM »
I need the measurement for the driver side oil pan armor mount. As you can see in the photo mine has been bubbafied. If it makes a difference I have a roller model. I would like to cut off the old bracket and weld on a new one.
Thanks Gary

Im pretty sure its a mirror image of the other side.  It might reach over a little more or less but the general shape and bolt pattern is the same.
Good luck.

These are some pics of oil pan armor and some measurements. The sides are similar but different. The number of bolt holes and the amount of offset is different. Because of the different offset the pieces used to make each side are slightly different sizes too.

This is the side you need . The top measures 10 1/2 across.    The bottom measures 12 7/8 across.  The top to the bottom at right angles to the top and bottom measure 13 1/2 inches. The top bend is 7 inches down from the top.  The bottom bend is 1 1/4 inches from the bottom.       If you start at the upper right corner and use a square, the lower right corner is 3 3/4 offset.  The lower left corner is 16 3/4 left of the upper right.   I hope this helps.

Here you can see the offset.  The offst on the drivers side is 4 1/2 and the passenger side is 3 1/2 inches. when it is done and set upside down the pan should sit level.

There is one more hole on the left hand side.
