how to remove armor screws
« on: March 28, 2014, 10:19:02 PM »
i first started trying to remove armor screws with a screwdriver on one end and an impact on the other.
you will get tired of this really quick.

what i came up with is a bit mounted on a heavy piece of steel so that it dosent jar your hands and puts all the force into the screw.

the tool in the pic is 2 1/2" solid shaft by 4 1/2" long.
i used a 1/2" to 3/8" socket reducer and welded it to the shaft.

the most common slot width on my halftracks is between .08 to .09

the bits i have found that should work the best are 2mm wide (.0787).

i now have them for sale
