This Diamond T halftrack was at a local vehicle rally and is beautifully restored. As it turns out the owner has it located in the next town from me about 30km away, and I thought halftracks were rare in Australia....... ::)
Take note of the front tyres..........

Did you find out were he got those. There would a be number of people interested. Are the tires 8.25 x 20?

I had a local tire dealer that found chevron tires in the right size for me. They looked just like those and were not DOT rated, plus horribly priced, so I passed.
The tire catalog we found them in was for off road construction equipment.
The tire dealer also noted something when he looked at the pictures I was showing him. All of the Chevron tires on the HT's had some sort of "road band" area. What he meant is that the left and right "lug" is somehow tied into each other near the middle of the tire and thus making a rather solid center section for better on road wear and drivability.

Hi Scott
I have so far counted 5 half tracks in Australia in private hands including this one and your one. There are probably a few more that I am not aware of. How many do you think there are there?
