Hi Steve, I spoke with you long while back about my M3A1 I have up here in Redding. That one is done, but I just yesterday dragged another HT home. Got it identified this morning. Frame# M15-A1-2210, Reg#40150927 (stamped top left side bumper). Unfortunately no data plates. Engine shows rebuild tag dated 1953.
I haven't done a lot of research, but everything I'm finding is the M15's were used for larger gun platforms. My question is, is their any variants to this model with respect to non-gun platforms. Not like you can find the big guns on any corner for restorations anymore. Just wondering where my options will be with restoring this M15.
Also, how you fixed now for doors, and front roller, roller brackets. Any available, and prices ? I throw this one out to membership at large too.
Thanks, Jerry Grochowski
Redding, Ca.

The m15 were all anti air with the twin 50s and 37mm auto cannon.
But the frame is the long one which is the same as the m3 series and could easily be built as a troop carrier.

You need to talk to Mike Keller:

He rebuilt one from the ground up and did a hell of a job.

There were M15 Specials which mounted the 40mm Bofors. This gun is much easier to find than the M15 37mm mounts. Many M15s were converted to M16A1s in the early fifties.

does this m15 have the rear bed on it?
its going to be a hard one to restore depending on how accurate you want it. parts are hard to find
i did have the rear turret armor at one time, sold to someone in texas.
i don't have any doors, and front roller, roller brackets anymore, i sold a lot of stuff off to buy tanks.
i think the closest example of one is at Fort Lewis, WA.

To everyone, thanks for responding to my post. It just confirms what I researched, M15's were strictly larger gun platforms with no variants. Well, I guess I'll get creative, just don't know which direction to head. Have a nice running M15, but missing everything from seats back. Guess I'll make my own variant........Adapt-Overcome.......right !
If anyone happens to hear about gun platform setup for M15.....please pass the word to me.

Are the rear armor panel specifications available anywhere, and the parts/components to build up the rear of HT like the M3. Have access to metal lazer table and could fabricate my own if I had all the specifications. If their is a link, or manual out there, would appreciate the info
Thanks ;D ;D
