Title: Halftrack Calendar
Post by: steve1973 on December 15, 2014, 04:32:28 PM
Hello All,
I had an idea today. I've been doing some Christmas gifts and one that I do often is a custom calendar from a place like Walgreen's. I was thinking why not do a halftrack calendar. You can send me one or two nice HI RESOLUTION Photos of your track along with full name and info about your track and I will put it into a calendar. If you have specific dates or events you want posted send me that info to. If this works right when done you can go to your local Walgreen's and order it their or I can order it and ship it to you. Depending on amount of entries I can make either a 12 or 18 month calendar. For those that are in process of restoring a halftrack, send me a photo to. If I get enough entries I will make another calendar for under construction tracks. What do you think? Send photos to my email chevy3100@clearwire.net. I will do my best to get this done by the end of December for you to order.

Andy,
Walgreen's charges $19.99 for a 12 month 8 1/2 X 11 and $24.99 for a 18 month same size. They often have sales like right now they are 40 percent off. As soon as I have it made then I post a link, I think, so anyone can buy one.

OK, for now I'm working on a 12 month calendar that will run $19.99 each. So far I have five halftrack photos sent in. I need seven more to complete the calendar. I have plenty of M2A1's. I would like to see some M16's, M3's and Mike's M15A1. Mike, I would love to put a photo of your M15A1 in the calendar. Can you email me one? I know there are others out there. Please send in your photos with your name and track info to chevy3100@clearwire.net. When done you should be able to go to Walgreen's web site and order one to be picked up at your local Walgreen's store.

Thanks,
Steve A.

So here is an update with the calendar. First, I want to thank those who sent in photos for the calendar. I have three spots left to fill still. Unfortunately a lot of the photos submitted are to small of a file size and am unable to use. I've replied back to those individuals stating this and asking for original, LARGER, file sizes.

To determine file size of photo, right click on photo and on the menu that appears click on Properties. Another box will appear and you should see a line that reads size or size on disk. This is the size of your photo. It needs to be above 350-400 KB to work. The higher this number is the better the photo will look. So, please keep the photos coming and check the file size.

Don't forget to include you full name, year, make and model of the halftrack.

Thanks,
Steve A.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. The calendar is done. Thanks for all that submitted photos. So, if you want a halftrack calendar here's what you need to do:

PM me your name and email address and I will send you a link through Walgreens. With that link you can view the calendar and order one if you like. Just follow the directions given.

Hope you like the calendar. I will post photos of the front and back cover as soon as I can.

Here are the photos of the front and back cover. Also, Walgreen's usually has sales on their calendars so keep an eye out for coupon codes. Usually 20 to 50 percent off or buy on get one free offer. They usually run for $19.95.

Steve,

I picked up my calendars today.  Great idea and great execution.   Thanks for doing this.   I am going to buy a few more and send them out as late Christmas presents.   I am already working on ideas for next years calendar picture.
