I need a voltage regulator for my halftrack and at some point I got this one for a LVT. I would like to trade it for one in the same condition. I just opened it now that I am ready to mount the reg onto the firewall.

I am in the same boat as you. I just bought one of these, was suppose to be a NOS regulater for a halftrack, opened the box and one just like the one you have came out. I will be checking with the dealer I bought mine from to see if I can get a refund. If i could get it to work then I might would keep it. I do know it sames on it its for 50 amps, and the halftrack generator is 55 amps. I wonder how close that needs to be.

I believe you would be fine regulator keeps the generator from burning up by limiting output and heat. so this one will cut out at 50 amp instead of 55amp
I don't know the rpm where the output is 55amp. so should run fine. but you cant put a higher out put regulator on a smaller generator
I give this advice freely and that's what its worth

I bought this one early on, forget from where or who. I believe the connection box on the side is a little different, on my current vr the box has been removed. I'm sure the connection terminals inside of the box are the same on both. I would like to have the correct one.

How many people are running these LVT regulators on there halftracks? I also just bought a NOS regulator and this lvt model is what I received. Are they working correctly? What if any type of modifications are required? Or should I also look into returning it.
I looked at the Ord 9 SNL along with other posted photos of members restos. If the base, cover, and internels are the same, then has anyone made a new side plate with the three studs? Or does anyone have a used side plate to sell?
Also looking for the four shock mounts.
Actually sorry for all the questions, I'm just looking for good advise.

Wish I could tell you more, but my regulator is still sitting on the shelf. I would also be interested if it will work or not.

I've been told they work but I did end up getting the correct vr. My LVT one is sitting on the shelf.
