Hi all,
After some recent discussion with another member on this forum, I’ve been toying with the idea of producing some decals for the cluster gauges.
The speedo decals seem to be working well and some decals for the cluster gauges might be a good way to freshen up working gauges. It might also be an option to use one of these decals on a gauge that isn’t original but could be adapted to work with the correct decal applied.
What do you think? Would there be any demand?
There is a setup cost for the printer and a minimum number he needs to produce to make it worthwhile. He says we are best to produce the print on a clear decal which he would produce in a rectangular shape. The faceplate would need to be painted the correct aluminium colour first like we’ve done with the speedo decal. The clear decal can then just be applied over the top and the edges trimmed to size.
I have some photographs of the temperature gauge and fuel gauge, but my ammeter and oil pressure gauge faceplates are riveted on.
I’m happy to give it a go if there is the demand.
Any thoughts?
As an aside, did all the temperature gauges have red rather than black markings like mine?

Yes I believe there would be a demand

Hi all,
If you are not already aware, I have listed these new decals in the halftrack and parts for sale section:

They are the same. Just the face, decal is different.

Yes, so far is clear. But is one early or different manufacturer? Post war maybe?

I believe the red ones are French manufactured

I’ve also noticed some Temp gauges read to 220 and others to 240. At first I thought it was a G067 V G102 thing but it appears not.
