Hello everyone. I'm proud to announce the release of a new halftrack manual never before available. Thanks to Mike Spradlin I was able to borrow and scan this manual and put it into print form for sale. This book is 600 pages of step by step how to instructions and diagrams on how to do almost everything on a halftrack. This book was put out by the Rock Island Arsenal in December 1942 for the British Army. If you have seen the Base Shop Data Book for the M3A1 Scoutcar then you know what this book is all about.
I'm still in the process of putting the first 20 books together and they will be available at Tower Park for purchase. The price will be posted later this week when the books are finished. Here are some sample pages below.

I think that is the manual Mike let me thumb through at a swap meet a while back. Lots of info in there. Let me know what the end cost is going to be.

Just got the final prices in from the printer. The books will be $100.00 each. I pick the books up tomorrow and will try and post more photos then. The book is 2 inches thick printed on good quality paper, better than the original. Their was a lot that went into getting this book done and think you will enjoy it. This book, to me, is like a backyard mechanic's book. Everything is described in detail with lots of drawings. for example, the electrical section for wiring it shows pictures of each component with the wires running between them. It also give the wire gauge and length of wire. The manual shows how to test each gauge and it's placement on the dash. Detail info and testing of the heater unit. Their are over 70 sections in this manual. Some are one page where as others are more. Their is a lot of info that is not included in the basic set of manuals out today. This would make a great addition or a good start, must have for your restoration. This is not meant to replace the other manuals but a great addition to them.

Well, I got a hold of the prototype book today. They are still in the process of putting the books together. I will get them tomorrow. Nothing like the last minute to get things done. Here are some more photos of the book.

Just getting back from Tower Park. Wow, what a week. I took the first 20 books down and sold out. When word got out what I had I had some coming to my cabin for a copy. I even had someone buy two just in case one was lost. For those who have contacted me by PM or have asked for one don't worry. I put another order in and I think I'm going to double that order. I should have the next batch ready in two weeks. I will be sorting through all my requests in the next day or so and come up with a shipping cost and get back to you all. Books are $100 plus shipping. For those who have gotten a book from me already please post what you think of the book. I'm interested in your feedback.

OK here is the complete info on the book. The book has 600 pages of great info not seen in other manuals. Lots of drawings and great step by step instructions on everything. The book has a total of 77 sections. More is covered in this book than any other manual. This is a must have book for any halftrack owner. Just an update on the next batch of HT BSD books. I just picked up the first half of my next order, 20 books. I will be shipping them out on Monday to the first 20 people who have pre paid me. Thanks for being patient. I hope to have the second half in 2-3 weeks. It take a lot to put a 600 page book together. If their is enough interest I will order a third batch for the convention in August. I only have about 3 or 4 books left available in the second batch not spoken for yet. For those who haven't paid yet. You can do so now so their is no delay in getting your book when it arrives.

I have a good stock of all three books now and sent out emails tonight to those who have requested books. Thanks to everyone for being patient. I changed what I said about cost for over seas shipping. The Postal price went up since I last shipped and was told it will go up again very soon. Got to love our postal system. For some reason nothing goes ground shipping, slow boat to China, any more. The only option is air mail. That goes for UPS, Fed Ex and DHL. That is why over seas shipping is so expensive. Sorry guys.
