Here's my Halftrack I got about 10 years ago. The serial number on the left front frame rail behind the tire says, M2-6632. I was told it was made by Autocar. Is this correct? Does that number tell anything else?
Its been sitting outside for probably 40+ years and had a Bantam crane mounted on the back. I hadn't looked at it for awhile and after taking these pictures and looking at it again realized it's pretty rough. The frame is solid and the engine and drivetrain is intact. I have a lot of irons in the fire so maybe I would be better off parting this one out and finding a better candidate! Not sure yet.

The one I started with looked exactly like that, bought a second that looked the same and a 3rd that had a better dash but worse frame. Lots of good parts there but you will better off paying up for a better machine to restore, I wish I had but will get it done....someday.

Yes it is an Autocar for sure per the frame serial number.

I take it that with the M2 at the beginning of the serial number, this is an M2 model halftrack?

Yes sir .
