Title: Picked up a new to me 1917A2 tripod this past weekend.
Post by: Outsider on May 25, 2016, 07:50:43 AM
I found this at a swap meet this past weekend. I think i got it at a good price. I took the azimuth off so I could paint it. Bummer part is I broke the mounting bolt on the azimuth that has the knurled nut on it. It is a re-weld on the main casting, but still in nice shape I think.

You should have ground down that chicken crap weld a little before painting it! Other then that it looks really nice. Do you have the 1917 to go on top of it? That it the one thing I want to finish off my M-2,I have a fake 50 and 2 semi 1919's but a 1917 on the back wall would be perfect!
