Can anyone recommend a good transport service to move an M2A1 from the Midwest to Socal? I made the mistake of going online and submitting a request and have been bombed by brokers ever since. One clown called me at 4:30 this morning! I lost count of the texts and emails I've gotten. The quotes range from 750.00 to over 3,000.00! Which end is up??? Finally got disgusted, deleted everything and put all the numbers on the reject list. Thanks for any help!

The biggest problem I've run into with a lot of these guys is that they have no idea what they are bidding on! I've lost count how many times I've had a vehicle scheduled to be picked up and then they wouldn't take it once they got here,usually after driving 3 hours one way to get to my place. The problem is the brokers don't tell the truckers whats what, and some of the truckers are very particular. So if you do get a bid make sure you talk to the truck driver themselves.

I used U-ship in the past and had good luck with them. I agree, it is hard to find someone good.

I had my M2 shipped from southern California to Wisconsin for $1250. That's the cheapest I was able to get and that was May this year. He was on time and returned my calls. Pro Transport I think was his company, It went through a broker originally which I had to pay $200 for. Id rather have hired the driver myself and cut the broker out. He had a low boy flat bed so he had no problem hauling it but the track also ran so he could load it up.

Thank you guys for the leads. I'll get a hold of those outfits. I'd sure rather deal with the driver direct. Smadge - I contacted Jesse but he's tied up until mid/late-December. I appreciate the contact.

After having a transport company fall down at the last minute, I called Nationwide Transport Services, LLC and Tye was able to get a driver for me the next day! A little more $ but not enough to be a deal-stopper. I was really pleased with his attention to detail and communication with follow-up calls and emails. The trucking outfit he used is called Seven Stars Plus Inc. They're small-time (one truck, I think) but he sure came through, getting to the west coast from mid-Kansas in two days. Super-helpful with the unloading too. Anyhow, thought I'd post what I experienced in case anyone else is looking to ship a half track. I'd sure call these guys again.
