Has anyone talked about having another halftrack owners meeting at the MVPA convention this? Right now I am figuring out when I will be going to and leaving from the convention and if we have a meeting I want to try and make it this year.

I'd like to attend the owners meeting as well. We'll be there Wed, Thurs and Fri 'til noon. Dale

I will probably be there Wednesday afternoon until the end. As of right now I think I will be taking my HT to the convention.
Well my plans have changed.... After considering the lost revenue at work, transportation costs, motels, and food for a Tuesday through Sunday trip to the convention my friend and I have decided to skip taking vehicles. I will now be there Thursday late afternoon through Saturday about noon.

I wanted to go but road tripping out west instead and I can't do both. Hope everyone has a blast I'm sure it will be fun, probably a lot of parts too Ohio and PA are good for that sort of thing.

Hope to have a meeting room for Saturday PM. 1400hrs is the approx time.
No formal presentations arranged at this time but if anyone would like to present please contact me. Otherwise I will have a couple items for open discussion.
Please note that if anyone needs a few half-trac items I can bring them to the convention and will extend a 20% discount on pre-paid orders over $325.00 (most items not all) If you are even thinking of an exhaust system this is the time. please email kplockwood@cox.net
Sooner you place and pay for the item the more likely I can fit it in the truck.
Thanks

I am really bummed that I cannot attend this year. :-[ There are many of you I want to meet. You all have a great time. Take lots of photos to share and take lots of notes to pass on. Also, share your finds!! ;D
Kevin - Can you see if Starpoit will attend the meeting and give an update on the new tracks.

Had fun at the show yesterday. Was able to pick up a few parts from Rod Shaver for my track. Got one of his repro M49 rings. Saved me some searching and shipping cost! Various small items I needed also.
Got to say I was a little disappointed with the swap meet area, not as big as I expected and a lot of empty tables. Don't get me wrong, still really enjoyed it. Hopefully the rest of the tables filled up today. I had a lot going on this weekend so I could only attend yesterday.
I talked to Greg Bilek with Starpoint abut their tracks and bogies. Sounds like they will have a set made sometime this fall. He said they would do some wear testing at that time. They will also be offering a service to redo bogies
Lots of great vehicles at the show also!

I just left the convention after getting here Thursday. It was a great show with at least a half dozen really nice half tracks, including a very nice International. I was able to get a few things for my M2A1 at the swap meet. The place is Hog Heaven for a jeep owner! Greg attended the half track meeting and as Brad said, Starpoint is getting real close on tracks and said he's shooting for 4500 - 5000/set. He told me yesterday he hopes to be at around 75-80 bucks for bogie tires. Looking forward to him getting his stuff out to sell. Thanks Kevin Lockwood for all your and the others' hard work putting the convention together!

The convention was great to meet some of the forum members face to face. There was also a good number of halftracks to view. I was able to pick up a few parts and had a chance to talk to the Starpoint reps about their tracks. Mike Spradlin had a M2 there with a M10 trailer that looked like a good combination, I am biased on that as I have a M10 ;D. His restoration looked great. I met him and got some tips.

It was over too soon! It was a real a pleasure to meet up with you Gary/yd328! I was aslo able to meet Dave Yamulla and his lovely wife, Tom Wolboldt, Mike Spradlin (his M2 knocked my socks off), Brian Asbury and others. I had a great time talking with Rod Shaver and as always, it was an absolute pleasure to spend some time with Kevin Lockwood. Can't wait til next year!
