I have the opportunity to pick this jewel up but no idea what it is worth. Don't know much about it except for what you see. Believe it is a Chevrolet G506. I was told that it runs and drives very well and the breaks were re-done recently. This was purchased from a large military collection auction here in Michigan a few years ago. I believe the collectors name was Yeck. Looks like it is in excellent complete condition. Thanks for any input.

Second question is, could this pull a trailered half track short distance? Say 50- 75 miles here is southern Michigan, pretty flat.
Thanks,

I would not even try to pull a halftrack with that. It is only rated 1.5 tons. Not sure if I would even try pulling a track with a CCKW which is 2.5 tons. A restored halftrack on a trailer will be at least 22-25,000 pounds. Try stopping that load with either vehicle. Not very safe in my opinion.

I do want to say that truck is what I want for my next vehicle. I'm thinking of selling my hot rod 1951 Chevrolet truck to get a truck like that.

Those trucks are geared ridiculously low. You should have no problem pulling with it, the engine on the other hand will likely not do over 45 with that kind of load. If you take her slow it would likely be fine but old trucks even restored I probably wouldn't use it to pull with. Also, you'd have to use a bumper hitch trailer instead of a 5th wheel or goose neck, not recommending you pull a halftrack on a bumper hitch. Value is about $10,000 if in really nice shape $8,000 if decent shape. Those are fun trucks, two friends of mine have that 1.5 ton model. Hope that helps!

I was at Yeck's auction and purchased a vehicle and a bunch of parts there. Some of his vehicles were restored very well and some were paint only restorations so look it over carefully. I don't recall that truck off the top of my head though. Some of Mike Yeck's vehicles were sold prior to auction, almost nothing ran at the auction for one reason or another. I see it still has the lot number on it from the auction.
My M35A2 struggles with my HT so I would not even attempt it with that.

Thanks for the info guys. For the price it was offered to me at, I'm struggling to find a reason not to buy it! Even my wife said buy it! Hoping to look at it in the next few days.

Baring any major issue I'm pretty sure I want it. If for some reason I don't or can't, I will gladly let you know. I will take more pictures either way.
