Hi All, Does anyone have a picture of the battery box with the side armour removed? and the battery removed? My M 3 has 2 battery boxes and I am trying to get it back to its WW 2 format.

I currently have my cowling/windshield section off for restoration. Here are some photos. Hope they help.

If you need a better photo of the battery tray w/o the generator I can move it and get another photo on Monday. If you need replacement panels I would try contacting steve-0 on this forum. He has many take off parts available.

I'm not positive about this but they may have trimmed an inch or two off the rear end of the battery tray floor in order to fit the box.

Thanks, Steve, The pics are a great help. How is the bottom step connected? To be a pain, maybe a picture of the bottom of the step to see the connection? Thanks, Rob.

Bottom step is connected with small pieces of angle iron. I'll look out in my stash as I may have a spare one out there.

That helps a lot. I am missing the small section/plate that is to the right, the left side of the battery box. Is this a hard plate to get? Thanks for all the help , Rob
